Born in Anderson County, SC on April 17, 1946, Coach Moore was the son of the late Coyt Wallace Gibson and Nettie Martin Gibson. He was a United States Navy Vietnam veteran and was retired from Michelin Tire Manufacturer with 25 years of service. He was a former assistant coach for Pendleton High School Girls Softball Team and was very active in the Pendleton Little League Sports and the Pendleton Youth Athletic Association. He was an avid deer hunter. A loving husband, Daddy and 'Poppy', Wayne is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judy Barnett Moore of the home; children, Lindi Elaine Moore and her husband, Lee of Campobello, SC; Kevin Wayne Moore of Pendleton, SC and Jon Will Moore and his wife, Renee of Hartwell, GA; three grandchildren, Elijah Wayne Moore, Samantha Elaine Moore and Jon Coleman Moore.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Jackson Coyt Moore and grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. John Will Martin.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Ray Thompson. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Military Honors provided by the Upstate Veterans Honor Guard.The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.Flowers are optional.
