The McDougald Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 2211 North Main Street Anderson, South Carolina 29621 864-224-4343 OBITUARY: LOUIS PRUITT APRIL 9, 1920 - NOVEMBER 10, 2012 ANDERSON, SC Louis Pruitt, age 92, of 1002 West Market Street, husband of the late Emma Hayes Pruitt passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Aubrey Pruitt and Mary Hardin Pruitt. He graduated from Boys High, Anderson College in 1948 and Clemson University in 1952. Mr. Pruitt retired from J. P. Stevens with over 30 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter, Margaret Mason of Anderson; grandchildren, Rick Blakely and his wife Kim, Jonathan Blakely and his wife Kaela, Taylor Mason, Ashton Mason, Jacquelyn Mason all of Anderson; great-grandchildren, Kayla and Dakota Blakely. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Aubrey Pruitt, Jr., Henry Pruitt, Stanley Pruitt and Marion Pruitt. The Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend David Barfield officiating. Interment will following in Old Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will be at the home of his grandson, Rick Blakely, 209 Windemere Way, Anderson, SC 29625 and will receive friends on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home.
