Louise Gailey Brock, age 96, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Summit Place in Anderson. Born in Pendleton, SC on June 23, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Lucy Gailey Sears. She was an honors graduate from Pendleton High School and retired from JP Stephens after many years of service. Louise had many hobbies, including gardening, canning, cooking, and attending Pendleton High School football games religiously with her son, Jimmy. Louise was the oldest member of Faith Fellowship Baptist Church where she was very active in Sunday School, the church choir, and various other roles. She will forever be remembered for having a spunky spirit that lit up a room wherever she went. She is survived by her loving children, Jimmy Brock, Margaret Fennessy (Bob), and Claudia "Midge" Lee; two sisters, Caroline Jamieson and Dot Moore; 14 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Brock; and two daughters, Nancy Heard and Ann Horton. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend David Kay officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 5, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home.
