Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Frank Alston Sadler and the late Jessie Belle Reynolds Sadler. For almost 50 years, she was the loving and devoted wife of the late Jessie H. During the early years of her marriage she was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. During that time she assisted her husband in running the family dairy farm. Later after raising her two sons, she worked as a secretary at Clemson University and ultimately advanced to the position of Director of Donor Relations, a position from which she retired after 20 years of service to the University. Subsequently she served as a sales associate at the Gallant-Belk Department Store in Anderson. Louise then continued to work as an employee of the Anderson County Library System, Pendleton Branch, and continued in that position until 6 months prior to her death. Mrs. Hopkins was a devoted and faithful member of Pendleton Presbyterian Church where she was an ordained Elder. She was active in the Women of the Church and attended Circle meetings regularly. Left to carry on Mrs. Hopkins' legacy are 2 sons, Jeffrey H. Hopkins and his wife, Mary Ann of Central, Reece Alston Hopkins of Pendleton; a sister, Martha Rogers and her husband, Frank, of North Augusta, SC; and 3 grandchildren, Jeffrey H. Hopkins, Jr., Jamison T. Hopkins and Anley G. Hopkins.
