She was a High School Graduate and graduate of Cosmetology School and the Clemson University Continuing Education. She was the former owner of Anderson College of Beauty Culture, was a former president of the SC Association of Cosmetology Schools, Director of National Association of Cosmetology School, member of the Teacher's Education Council, National Association of Accredited Schools, Cosmetology Accrediting Team Member, SC Small Business Woman of the Year. Mrs. Richey was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Norma F. Olson, Selma R. Sexton and her husband, Randall; daughter-in-law, Betty P. Richey; sisters, Fay Tucker and Lynda Child; nine grandchildren, Sandy Watts, Sherry Olson, Susan Garrison, David Olson, Randy Sexton, Chris Sexton, Laurie Fuller, Sean Howard and Aimie Vickery; 19 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Samuel J. Richey and a brother, Max Holman Worley.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Dr. Tony Smith and Rev. Tom Turner.
