LOUISE KELLEY WELLS January 20, 1920 - August 27, 2012 Mrs. Louise Kelley Wells, age 92, went to her Heavenly Home to be with her Lord on Monday, August 27, 2012, at the Exalted Health and Rehabilitation Center in Iva. Born in Barnes Station, SC, she was the daughter of the late Ida Mae Brown Kelley and the late James B. Kelley. For over 40 years she was the devoted wife of the late Raymond Leroy Wells until his death in 1984. Mrs. Wells was retired from Jackson Mill, where she was employed for 46 years as a winder operator. Louise was a life-long, faithful and devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Iva. She was active in the T E L Sunday School Class as long as her health permitted. Mrs. Wells was devoted to her family and enjoyed frequent family trips to the mountains. Left to carry on her legacy is her son Tommy Wells, and his wife, Teresa, of Iva. Also surviving are one niece and several nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, "R.L.", Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by brothers, Ernest, David and Jack Kelley, and a sister, Sara Kelley Craft. Funeral Services to honor and celebrate the life of Mrs. Louise Wells will be held Thursday, August 30, 2012, at 3 PM at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. Hudson White and Rev. Phil Keown officiating. Interment will follow at the Iva City Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Tommy and Teresa Wells at 102 Parkview Road, Iva, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, August 30th from 1 PM until 2:30 PM. The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to the staff of Exalted Health and Rehabilitation Center for the love and care they gave Mrs. Wells during her 12 year residency.
