Lourdes Margaret Delgado Rymer, age 90, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at AnMed Medical Center in Anderson, South Carolina. Born February 22, 1933, in Manilla, Philippines, she was a daughter of the late Vincente Mariano Delgado and Valesca Schultz Delgado. She was married to the late Alan Aubrey Rymer. Lourdes' spiritual journey through life was a testament to her deep and abiding belief in Christ, with a special devotion to our Blessed Virgin Mary, inspiring all that knew her to find solace through prayer. Beyond her unyielding faith, Lourdes was a loving mother to all those who had the privilege of crossing her path. Her heart knew no boundaries and her nurturing embrace extended to everyone she encountered. Her home was a haven of warmth and hospitality to so many over the years where carnivals were conducted, swallows day dances were perfectly executed and countless family gatherings where laughter echoed and stories of old were always shared. With her own children, grandchildren, great grandchildren or the many others she adopted in her heart, she demonstrated a selflessness that illuminated the meaning of motherhood and true beacon of Christ's light in this world. Lourdes was very active in the Old Mission Parish in San Juan Capistrano and most recently a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anderson South Carolina. She is survived by her children, Terry Gregerson, Lori Wosman, Paul Rymer, Kathy Johnson, Marie Rymer, Angela Chunka, and Andy Rymer; sisters, Connie Castillo and Rosie Molina; 20 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Philip S. Gillespie as celebrant on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 2:30pm EST. A small gathering will be held immediately following at Liberty Hall Bed and Breakfast in Pendleton, SC.
