NEESENOVEMBER 12, 1924 - AuguST 18, 2009 ANDERSON, SC ' Lucius Meredith Neese, age 84, passed away early Tuesday morning from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Hart County on November 12, 1924, he was a son of the late Thomas Charles Neese and Corrie Brown Neese. Mr. Neese retired from the textiles industry and was a member of Sardis Baptist Church in Hartwell, GA, and had formerly attended Midway Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Grace Conwell Neese; children: Sandra Neese Perkins and husband, Jeff of Anderson, SC, Karen Neese Wilson and husband, Cliff of Pawleys Island, SC, John Meredith Neese and wife, Angela of Charlotte, NC, and Tina Stephens and husband, Jason of Anderson, SC; brother, Austin Neese of Anderson; eight grandchildren: Marty Isom, Brad Isom, Laurel Finley, Jeffrey Perkins, Jr., Jacob Perkins, Corey Myers, Jonathan Wilson, Alexandra Hayne; great grandchildren: Britt Isom, Zach Isom, Jake Isom, Kalyn Finley, Savanna Finley, and Cameron Finley. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters: Opal Lewis, Pauline Neese, and Vera Sexton Carter; and brothers: Billy Neese, Furman Neese, John S. Neese, Jack Neese; one infant sister, Sally Neese and one infant brother, Emmett Neese. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 22, 2009, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Beryl Rosenberger. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 pm until 7:30 pm on Friday, August 21, 2009.
