Ronah Lula Gaines Brown, age 98, of Greenville, SC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 23, 2022. Born May 29, 1923, in Elberton, GA, she was the daughter of the late Lawrance Strawder Gaines and Marvin Adams Gaines. She was married for 60 years to Reuben Bennie Brown until his death in 2001. Lula was a graduate of Rock Branch High School in Elberton, GA. She was a member of Orrville Baptist Church in Anderson for 60 years and attended Edwards Road Baptist Church for the last 5 years. Lula loved her family dearly and was affectionately called "Mimi" by those that loved her the most. She is survived by her daughter, Anne B. Fiedler of Greenville; grandsons, Gaines Fiedler (Mary Susan) and Jordan Fiedler (Kaitlyn); and great grandchildren, Waylon and Taylor. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, John Fiedler; 7 brothers and 4 sisters. A special thanks is extended to the staff of NHC Healthcare Greenville for the loving care they provided to Lula. A graveside service will be held Sunday, May 29, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Aaron Rayburn officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Orrville Baptist Church of Anderson, 2620 S. Main St., Anderson, SC 29624.
