Lula B. Garrett Ladd, age 87, of Pendleton, SC, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Rainey Hospice House.

Born December 4, 1936, in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Ivan Talmedge Garrett and Olivia Adelaide Brewer Garrett. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Randall Ladd; sister, Joan Garrett; and brothers, Ronald, Wallace, Jacky, Kenneth, and Terry Garrett.

Lula had many interests, some of which included reading, cooking, and watching her favorite shows, especially Gunsmoke. But most of all she loved to care for others and her greatest joy came from caring for her son Randall his entire life.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Tommy L. Ladd; son, Brian K. Ladd (Shawn A. Thomas) of Central; brothers, Buddy Garrett of Ware Shoals, Roger Garrett of Waterloo, and Wayne Garrett of Princeton; many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 11:30 am until 12:45 pm at East Clemson Christian Fellowship. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jerry Schall and Rev. Julian Galloway officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Clemson.
