"Lum" Minish Anderson, SC Columbus William "Lum" Minish, age 74, of 313 Lewis Street, Anderson, SC , and the beloved husband of 54 years to Linda Watt Minish, passed away on December 26th, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was the only child of the late Ruth Banks Minish and the late Rudell Columbus Minish, of Banks County, Georgia. "Lum" was the owner of C.W. Minish Dry Wall Company for 47 years, working in Anderson and surrounding counties. Mr. Minish was a civil war enthusiast and a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and Palmetto Sharpshooters Camp 1428. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and being with his family. He was a Christian, who loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart and served Him faithfully. He was a former member of Temple Baptist Church where he served on several committees, as Deacon and Chairman of the Board of Deacons. For the past 20 years he was a member of Victory Baptist Church, where he was a former Deacon. Including his wife, he is survived by two sons, Clay W. Minish and his wife, Constance and Chad R. Minish, all of Anderson. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Jennifer M. Prince (Jimmy), of Abbeville, SC and Shayron M. Yeaw (Nicholas), of Cape Elizabeth, Maine. He also leaves behind his two buddies, great grandchildren, Nolan and Kala Prince, who brought great joy to his later years. The family will be at the home of Clay and Connie Minish, 103 Oxford Drive, Anderson, SC and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, December 27, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at 2:00 in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Bobby R. Smith and Reverend Herbert Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Flat Rock Cemetery.
