MABEL GUYTON PARROTT April 11, 1910 - July 13, 2013 Mabel Guyton Parrott, age 103, of 1110 Marshall Road, Greenwood, SC., passed away at her residence at Wesley Commons on Saturday, July 13, 2013. Born in Williamston, she was the daughter of the late Aaron M. Guyton and the late Eva Vandiver Guyton. She was the loving wife of the late Rev. Glenn E. Parrott. Mrs. Parrott was a home maker and the proud wife and mother of two Methodist Ministers. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Williamston and was active in the United Methodist Women's organization. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Rebecca Parrott Colvin and husband, Howard, of Chester, SC; a brother, Pat V. Guyton of Paoli, PA; 2 grandsons, Thomas Dwight Parrott, Jr. of Spartanburg, and Glenn Edward Parrott of Anderson; also surviving are 5 great-grandsons, Glenn, Michael, Tyler, Dwight, and Brandon Parrott. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Parrott was preceded in death by a son, Rev. Thomas Dwight Parrott; also preceding her in death are a brother and 4 sisters. A private family memorial service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson, SC, on Monday, July 22, 2013, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
