Wooters, age 89 of Anderson, SC, wife of the late Forrest W. Wooters, died Thursday, August 9, 2007 at NHC Health Care in Anderson, SC.Born in Golconda, Illinois on November 3, 1917, Mrs. Wooters was a daughter of the late Flavius Palmer and Kathryn Hertter Palmer. Moving to Wadsworth, OH in the 1940's, Mrs. Wooters worked with Firestone Tire & Rubber Company and had been a member of the Wadsworth Christian Missionary Alliance Church. Upon retirement in 1979, she moved to LaGrange GA, where she was a volunteer with the West Georgia Medical Center and active in the Broad Street Church of Christ. She later moved to Anderson, SC in 1996 where she lived with her family. She attended the Clemson Church of Christ.Survivors include her son, Dwight Wooters and his wife, Janet; a sister, Grace Anderson of Illinois; a grandson, Dana and his wife, Mary Lynn and granddaughter, Dawn Wooters and two great-grandchildren, Forrest and Mary Louise Wooters. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Lowel, Marion, Virgil and Flavius Palmer, Jr. and four sisters, Gladys Young, Dorothy Lee, Kathryn Jones, and Fay Wright.A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, August 13, 2007 at 1:00 pm at Woodlawn Cemetery, Wadsworth, OH.
