Mack Edward Speers, Sr. Anderson, SC Mack Edward Speers, Sr., age 80, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Hartwell, GA, on June 22, 1934, he was the son of the late Grady David Speers and Drucilla Osborne. He was self-employed as a used car dealer for many years. Mack was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a member of West Whitner Baptist Church which is now Crossover Community Church in Anderson. He is survived by his loving wife, Edna Earlene Honea Speers; a son, Mack Speers, Jr. and his wife Sheila, of Daytona Beach, FL; two daughters, Sherry Dooley and her husband Freddy, of Anderson, SC and Susan Sigmon and her husband Joel, of Hudson, NC; a special caregiver, Diane Osborne; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Grady Justice Speers. The Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday, February 15, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Jerry Durham and Reverend Jonathan McGary officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, prior to the service on Sunday, from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Crossover Community Church, 2403 West Whitner Street, Anderson, SC 29624.
