Broad Street, Iva, SC, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Exhalted Health and Rehab of Iva.Born in Anderson County, Madell was a daughter of the late James A. Hanks and Lucy Simpson Hanks. She graduated from Iva High School, retired from Jackson Mill and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Iva.She is survived by her sister-in-law, Pearl Hanks of Iva; nephews, Jimmy Cook and his wife Sue of Iva, Tony Hanks and his wife Donna of Lexington, SC and Mike Hanks; great-nieces and nephews, Deborah Bowman, Kenneth Cook, Erin King, Suzanne and Tony Hanks and Brandi and Brandon Hanks; close and personal friends, Dorothy Smith, Tracy Richardson, Kimberly Cook, Vera Taylor and Sue Strickland.She was predeceased by her husband, Roy W. Glenn; brothers, Eugene and Aaron Hanks, and her sister Abalena Cook.The Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 10:00am at Iva City Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Gray officiating.The family will be at their respective homes.Flowers are optional.
