Beulah Mae Bratcher Pressley, age 87, of Anderson, SC, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024, at NHC Healthcare Anderson.

Born March 24, 1937, in Greenwood, SC, she was the daughter of the late Hoke Bratcher and Georgia Boyter Bratcher. She was married to Rev. Roy Andrew Pressley until his death in 2002. She was also preceded in death by a son, Alan Pressley; brothers, Winton Link Bratcher, Truman Hoke Bratcher, and Herman Bratcher; and sisters, Alma Lois Bratcher and Nellie Louise Phillips.

Mae loved her family, church, puzzles, and coffee with friends. She was a fantastic cook and was known for her salmon patties and sweet potato pie. Her favorite sweet treats were Jolly Ranchers and peppermint candies. If you saw Mae out, you never saw her without her purse. She was a member of Iva Church of God of Prophecy.

She is survived by her daughter, Marie McTier (Dan); sons, Roger Pressley, Rickey Pressley (Maggie), and Steven S. Pressley (Tara); brothers, Ray Hammonds Bratcher and John Lawrence Bratcher; sisters, Lura Jean Pressley and Eula Faye Brown; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 1:00-2:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. George Green officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
