Margaret Elizabeth Pierce Polmatier, age 68, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Anderson, SC on March 15, 1946, she was the daughter of the late William Arthur Pierce and the late Elizabeth Campbell Pierce. Maggie was a 1964 graduate of TL Hanna High School and attended Forrest College. She retired from working in both dentist and optometrist offices. She enjoyed many things, including, country music, country dancing, gardening and her beloved dog, Sarge. She was a member of "The Gang", a country dancing group. Her greatest enjoyment came from her love of her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Paul S. Polmatier; her children, Sherri Watts and her husband Michael, of Enfield, CT, Mark Polmatier and his fianc Heather Veilleux, of Suffield, CT, and Ann M. Jacobs and her husband Bobby, of East Hartford, CT; her grandchildren, Tyler and Jake Watts, Wes and Kaylee Polmatier, Spencer and Liv Lizotte, Mel and Alex Marlow, Josh, Kelsey, and Nick Jacobs; sisters, Sarah Pierce, and Max Rogers of Pelzer, SC, and Billie Sims, of Anderson, SC; aunt, Ena Mae McAllister, Anderson, SC; uncle, Owen Arnold, Anderson, SC; and nieces and nephews as well as other close friends and family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Fayette Sims; and an aunt, Edna Arnold. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will follow in the chapel, at 3:30 p.m. with Reverend Randy Blank officiating. Interment will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the residence.
