Maggie Walker Thomas, age 100, of Anderson, SC, loving wife to the late Roy Louis Thomas, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, July 29, 2022, at her residence. Born March 3, 1922, in Spindale, NC, she was the daughter of the late Illion Walter Walker and Lula Green Culbertson Walker. Maggie was the last surviving sibling of her six sisters and three brothers. Maggie retired working as a retail bookkeeper and was also the proud owner of Thomas Christian Supply Stores, Inc. She was a member of Graceview Church. She is survived by her son, Roy Louis Thomas, Jr. (Gail) of Anderson, SC; grandsons, Darren Ficklin (Barbara) Henderson, NV, Scott Ficklin of Grand Junction, CO, Trey Thomas (Tonya) of Anderson, SC, and Brady Thomas (Sarah) of Summerville, SC; great-granddaughters, Casey and Carrigan Ficklin; great-grandsons, Jack and Ryan Ficklin, and Easton and Hudson Thomas; and son-in-law, Tom Guthrie of Grand Junction, CO. In addition to her husband, parents, and siblings, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lydia Thomas Guthire. Friends may pay their respects and sign the Guest Register on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 3, at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg, SC, with Mr. David Thomas officiating.
