MAGGIE WORLEY WILLIAMS October 14, 1912 - July 3, 2012 Mrs. Maggie Lee Worley Williams, age 99, of 330 Liberty Road, Iva, passed away on Tuesday, July 03, 2012, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Jefferson, GA, she was a daughter of the late Leonard Worley and the late Octavia Chester Worley. She was the devoted wife of the late Clifford B. Williams to whom she was married for 50 years until his death in 1991. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church and the Sunshine Mothers Sunday School Class. She retired from Toxaway Mills where she was employed for many years as a spinner. Maggie was a very hard worker. She loved to cook and was devoted to her family. Those close to her knew her to be a loving and caring person, and generous to all. Survivors include her son, Douglas Kenneth Williams and his wife Betty of Iva, 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Maggie was the last surviving member of her family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jackie Williams, and daughters, Mary Hammonds and Linda Culberson. She was predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters, 12 in number. Funeral Services for Mrs. Williams will be held Friday, July 6, 2012, at 11 AM in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Harrell officiating. Interment will follow in Old Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 5, 2012, from 6 PM until 8 PM.
