Mallie Ruth Wilson McIntosh, 88, of Honea Path, SC, passed away, Saturday, January 9, 2021, at her home of her daughter. Born May 17, 1932 in Oconee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Luther Wilson and Lillie Norton Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her first husband who was the love of her life, L.C. McIntosh; second husband, D.R. Fortner; and brothers, Gilmus, Norton and Conrad Wilson. Mallie worked for Appleton Mill for 21 years until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling with her tour bus groups and was an avid collector of light houses. She was a member of the House of Prayer. She is survived by her children, Gary McIntosh of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Martha McIntosh of Honea Path, SC; grandchildren, Jason McIntosh (Gina) of Clemson, SC, Tran McIntosh and Jenny Corteo (Steven) both of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and great-grandchildren, Zac, Luke and Jada McIntosh of Clemson, SC, and Garrett McIntosh and Anthony Corteo both of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Family and friends may pay their respects and sign the Guest Register on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm at New Silver Brook Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Nation and Rev. Mike Harrell officiating. Social distancing will be observed and masks required.
