Maresa McAlister Darby, age 46, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2016. Born in Anderson, SC, on June 3, 1970, she was the daughter of the late Dr. M. Anthony McAlister and the late Marcia Kelly Payne McAlister. She graduated from Belton Honea Path High School and was a member of NewSpring Community Church. She was employed at the Bariatric Clinic of Greenville as the Office Manager. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Darby; sons, Grant Alexander Poore, Blake Harrison Poore, Austin Dupre Darby and Andrew Tabor Darby; brothers, Parry McAlister and his wife Tish, M. Anthony McAlister, Jr. and his wife Bonnie, and Matthew A. McAlister; and a grandchild, Skylan Grace Darby. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Meagan Burriss and family, Miranda McAlister, Connor McAlister, Jack Davis, Sara Frances, Malcolm, Edwin, and Luke McAlister, Philip and Sloane Darby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Marc McAlister. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. with the Reverend Tom Haren officiating.
