Margaret Duncan Dean, age 94, of Belton, SC, met Jesus on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. Born September 1, 1928, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Henry Duncan and Maude Wheeler Duncan. She was married for 71 years to W.H. Dean until his death in 2020. She was also preceded in death by 9 sisters, Ethel, Lucille, Clara, Edith, Emma, Alene, Agnes, Lillian, and Sunny; and her favorite dog, Tillie-Sue who walked in the gate of Heaven with her. Margaret devoted her life to children as an educator for over 40 years. Her love for children was evident in her daily life. She was a voracious reader and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Williamston. She is survived by her daughters, Joy Dean Knight and Anne Dean Callaham (Ray); grandchildren, Zack Callaham (Blakely), Jacob Callaham (Kristi), Elizabeth Callaham-Lopez (Jonathan), Leigh Knight, and Parker Knight; and great grandchildren, Jack, Wylie, Harper, Sally, Madelynn, and Andrew Callaham, Cameron and Isaac Lopez. A cryptside service will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Greg Paige officiating.
