Margaret Elizabeth Kelley December 4, 1915 - April 16, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Margaret Elizabeth Kelley, age 97 and widow of Curtis Lee Kelley passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Westminster, SC, Margaret was the last living daughter of the late Wade Dickson and Mattie Louise Dickson being preceded in death by her nine brothers and one sister. Margaret married her devoted husband, Curtis, on April 24, 1937 and established their home in Brevard, NC. Both were faithful members of Brevard First Baptist Church being committed to mission work and being blessed by having the church's mission group being named for Margaret's service. Later Margaret and her family moved to Greenville, SC in 1958 and became active members of First Baptist Church of Greenville where she taught a Ladies Sunday School Class. Margaret was a master gardener, seamstress, incredible cook, an avid reader and very engaged in current events, but her passion was her faithfulness to God and her loving and devoted family. She was the epitome of a great woman of faith. Affectionately known by her family and friends as "Grand Marney" Margaret is survived by her daughters, Eleanor McGaha and her husband, Ed, and Ann Kelley; five grandchildren, Dr. Carol Loescher and her husband Walter, Maria Dunlap and her husband Bill, Angela Darby and her husband Bud, Elizabeth Kniskern and her husband Brad, and Jonathan Wooten; and 14 great grandchildren, Mary Margaret, Carolyn, Elizabeth, Eddie, Lydia, Anna, Rebecca, Will, David, Meg, Rachel, JoBeth, Emma, and Margaret. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM with the funeral service beginning in the Chapel at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Dr. Johnny McKinney officiating. A private family committal service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Greenville, SC on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 9:30 AM with the Reverend Dr. Baxter Wynn officiating. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Eleanor McGaha. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gospel Fellowship Association, 1809 Wade Hampton Blvd., Suite 110, Greenville, SC 29609 for the mission work of Walter and Carol Loescher in Cameroon.
