Margaret Marie Guy Hare, age 94 and widow of Troy Hare passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017. Born in Greenville, SC on March 21, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Sally Clayton Guy. She retired as an office manager. For 10 years Marie was a resident of Lake Secession. She is survived by her children, David T. Hare and Patricia H. Jeffries; two brothers, Joseph and John Guy; two grandchildren, Anthony T. Hare and Scott R. Jeffries; and two great-grandchildren, Rachel N. Jeffries and Sarah E. Jeffries. In addition to her parents and devoted husband of 57 years, Marie was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Marie Hare; brothers, Roy, Dorence and Simon Guy; and sisters, Sarah Virginia Guy, Velma Hawkins and Cleo Renner. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. with interment following at Iva City Cemetery. There will be a reception after the burial at Bethel United Methodist Church in Iva, SC.
