ANN HENNESJULY 28,1930 - April 12, 2009ANDERSON, SC ' Margaret Ann Monteith Hennes, age 78, of 114 Lifestyle Lane passed away on April 12, 2009, at her home.Born on July 28, 1930, in Concordia, KS, she was the daughter of the late Merle Charles Monteith and Sarah Hazel Richards Monteith. Ann earned her B.S. degree in English from Kansas State University. A resident of Anderson since 1970, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Anderson. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at Anderson Memorial Hospital and worked in the Box Office at the Anderson Community Theater. She was also an officer in the Carousel Club, an avid bridge player, and a veracious reader.Survivors include a stepson, John H. Hennes of Spartanburg, SC; a son, Richard Scott Hennes (Maria C. Hennes) of High Point, NC; two daughters: Sara Suzanne Hennes of High Point, NC, and Lisa K. Hennes Weber (Robert D. Weber, Jr) of Greensboro, NC; five grandchildren: Marcy O'Brien (Sean), Jonathan Hennes, Allison Gall, Jana Weber, & Carie Weber; two great grandchildren: Madison O'Brien and Luke O'Brien. She is also survived by a brother, Richard Charles Monteith of Newport, OR.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Dr. John H. Hennes.A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the Ravine's Club House.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of The Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621 or to the Anderson County Library, 300 N.
