MARGARET KELLEY November 8, 1934 - October 9, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Heaven is in concert as it is blessed with the arrival of a new opera singer leading all choruses at the right hand of our good Lord. Peggy Evatt Kelley, of Anderson, joined her friends and family members at the side of God this week. But she left making quite an impression on many, many people. Born in Pendleton, she lived in Anderson. Her husband is Robin B. Kelley Sr. of Anderson, and her children are: son, Robin B. Kelley, Jr. of Atlanta and daughter, Deegie McGill and husband Benjie of Clemson and their two children and Peggy's grandsons, Ben McGill of Atlanta, and Bobby McGill of Clemson. Peggy's parents were Waymon and Wilma Evatt, and her sister is Julie Leake of Louisville Kentucky. She Graduated from Converse College with a Masters in Music and voice performance and enlightened everyone she touched with her voice and her music. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Anderson and later attended services at the First Baptist Church in Clemson. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Dr. Robert E. Burks officiating. The family will gather for a time of visitation following the service.
