Margaret Patricia Smith, age 90, of Anderson, SC, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, at the Garden House of Anderson.

Born October 30, 1933, in the Lebanon Community of Anderson County, SC, she was the daughter of the late D.K. Smith and Mary Sanders Smith. She was married to Ted Carlton Smith until his death in 2012. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Lynn Smith; son, Richard Dale Smith; nephew Ian Tory Smith; and sister, Betty Jane Smith Jordan.

Margaret was a graduate of Girls High and the Anderson Memorial Hospital Nursing Program. She was formerly the Nurse Manager of AnMed Family Practice. She had a passion for flowers and birds, especially hummingbirds. She was an avid golfer and an amazing cook. She and her husband traveled extensively both nationally and internationally. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. Margaret was a sweet soul who gave 150% in everything she did. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her grandson, Orie Richard Smith of Pendleton; and brother-in-law, Tommy Coy Smith (Cho) of Pendleton.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Barry Robinson officiating. The family will speak with guests immediately following the service.
