Margaret Turner Anderson, SC Margaret Modena Shiflet Turner, age 84, of Anderson, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at Ellenburg Nursing Center. Born in Anderson, SC, on March 23, 1930, she was the daughter of the late "Jeff" James Jefferson Shiflet and the late Mattie Lou Junkins Shiflet. Margaret was a 1947 graduate of Girl's High. She was a florist for over 50 years, having worked at Floral Expressions. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter Janis Yarbrough, of Anderson, SC; brothers, James Shiflet and his wife Louise, of Anderson and James "Jr" Shiflet, of Virginia; two grandchildren, Kristy M. Cheek and Cherry Charping and her husband Joe; and three great-grandchildren, Chase, Chandler and Abigail. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and Jack Shiflet and a sister, Ruby S. Crawford. The Graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at New Silver Brook Cemetery with Reverend Curtis Bundy officiating. The family will gather for a time of visitation following the service. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Janis, 228 Polaris Street, Anderson, SC. Flowers will be accepted.
