Margaret Olivia Shirley Vollrath, age 79, of Anderson, SC, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at her home. Born October 18, 1941 in Anderson County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey N. "Bud" Shirley and Ruby Ramey Shirley. She was married for 59 years to Paul Edward Vollrath until his death in 2016. Margaret was formerly employed with Kroger Bakery and then retired from Anderson School District 5 where she was a school bus driver. She loved growing roses, enjoyed watching humming birds and antiquing with her husband. She is survived by her son, Paul Vollrath (Ginger); brother, Thomas Michael Shirley; grandchildren, Kemera Vollrath and Jamie Vollrath; and one great grandson. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Louanne Shirley. In lieu of a funeral service, the family would like for you to consider making a memorial donation to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 E Calhoun St, Anderson, SC 29621 or to plant a rose bush in Margarets memory.
