Margie Lucille Bryant Baker, age 101, of Anderson, SC, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at NHC Healthcare Anderson. Born October 1, 1921, in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Hugh A. Bryant and Naomi Mitchell Bryant. She was married to Clifford Baker until his death in 2001. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ricky Wayne Baker; brothers, JT and Leonard Bryant; sister, Susie Campbell; and one great granddaughter. Margie loved children and kept many in her home throughout the years. She adored her family and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her sons, Clifford Samuel Baker (Vera), Darrell H. Baker (Paula), and Micah Able (raised in the home); daughter, Kelly Wilson (raised in the home); 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. A graveside service will be held Monday, May 8, 2023 at 11:00 am at Long Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, 2101 Hwy 413, Anderson, SC, with Rev. Hulon Bryant and Rev. Darren Baker officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
