Shearer, died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Ellenburg Nursing Center.Born in Washington, GA on November 15, 1920, Mrs. Shearer was a daughter of the late Milton Martin Hand and Gretta McClellan Hand. She retired from Nationwide Insurance Company as an Insurance Agent and was a long-time member of Boulevard Baptist Church. Survivors include her sisters, Doris H. Parker and Betty Jean H. Alewine, both of Anderson.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, officiated by the Reverend Dr. Johnny F. McKinney and Reverend Elwood Orr. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum.Memorials may be made to Boulevard Baptist Church, 700 Boulevard, Anderson, SC 29621.
