Obituary

Maria Cromer, age 56, of Anderson, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, surrounded by love. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, Maria spent her life rooted in the friends she loved, building deep and lasting friendships with everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Ruth Kirby, and her father, Theodore James Siachos.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Jessica Cromer; her cherished grandchildren, Cadence, Kinsey, Raegan, Riley, and Ellie; her brothers, James Siachos and Michael White; her brother-in-law,
Dayro Chamorro (husband of James); her sister-in-law, Kendyl White (wife of Michael); her nephew, Makyhi (son of James and Dayro); and many loving and caring friends who became family over the years.

Maria had a heart of gold and a rare gift for bringing people together from all walks of life. She loved deeply and lived authentically-never one to judge, but always one to keep those around her grounded, honest, and on the right path. Her strength, warmth, and unwavering presence made her someone people naturally gravitated toward.

Even through her illness, Maria showed remarkable strength, courage, and grace. She faced each day with resilience, continuing to care about others and staying connected to those she loved. Her determination and spirit were an inspiration to everyone around her.

She found joy in life's simple pleasures, including her love of hockey and spending time unwinding with her favorite Netflix series. But more than anything, Maria treasured time spent with the people she loved.

She shared an especially close and meaningful bond with her brother, James. Their relationship was one of deep love, trust, and connection-a true brother and sister bond that meant the world to both of them.

Maria's passing leaves an immeasurable void, but her spirit, her laughter, and the love she gave so freely will live on in all who knew her.

The service will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Duncan officiating.
