Marie Irene McNulty Sutton Harnden, formerly of Anderson, age 99, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Majesty Health and Rehab in Easley, SC. Born in Fremont, MI, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Marie McNulty. She grew up in Detroit, MI, and lived in Yale, MI for more than 50 years. Marie moved to the Anderson area in 1996. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She is survived by her children, John Sutton and his wife Maggie, of Pickens, SC, Patricia Geddings, of Lexington, SC and Susan Wilder, of Yale, MI; a sister, Jacqueline Jaeger, of Sandusky, MI; ten grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, James R. Sutton and Kenneth Harnden. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Steve Kluge, OFM officiating. A Prayer Vigil will be held at 6:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home, on Friday, January 16, 2015, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association, 2434 Hudson Road, Greer, SC 29650.
