Marilyn Syvilla Gosnell Head Pate, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, SC, on March 30, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Dover Gosnell and the late Lillian Jordan Gosnell. She worked in the textile industry, retiring after many years of service. Marilyn was affectionately known as nanny, mama, gran-nanny and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her children, Tammy Head, of Iva, SC, Tony Head, and Teresa Hostetler, both of Anderson, SC; her twin sister, Carolyn Holden; seven grandchildren, Dena, Alycia, Dylan, Nicole, Misty, Casey, and Carley; and several great-grandchildren. Marilyn was twice married and was preceded in death by her husbands, Rudolph Vernon Head, and David Thomas Pate; she was also preceded in death by a brother, Vernon Gosnell. The Graveside Service will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Reverend Dwight Greene officiating.
