OBITUARYMARTIN 'MONK' WILSONSeptember 13, 1926 - June 30, 2007ANDERSON, SCMartin Luther Wilson, age 80 of 127 Marion Street, died Saturday, June 30, 2007 at the Hospice House.Born in Pelzer, SC on September 13, 1926, Mr. Wilson was a son of the late Luther Claude Wilson and Eva Mae Jenkins Wilson. He worked at Abney Mills and also did lawn care many years. Mr. Wilson was known by many for picking up cans along the Williamston Highway and attended the Calvary Baptist Church.Mr. Wilson was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Troy, James, Jack, and Lee Wilson and his sisters, Inez Bolt, Dorothy Cody, and Mildred Campbell.A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, July 2, 2007, at 3:30 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park officiated by the Reverend Curtis Bundy.The family will receive friends on Monday, July 2, 2007 at The McDougald Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.The family will be at their respective homes.In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
