Campbell Veterans Nursing Home, formerly of Jackson Street, died Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Anderson, he was a son of the late Otis Andrew Bolt and Marie Beard Bolt. He was a 1952 graduate of Boy's High and was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Bolt was a retired loom fixer at Wamsutta and had also worked at Orr Mill for many years. He was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, an avid C.B. radio operator and was of the Pentecostal faith.Survivors include a son, Jack Bolt and his wife Phyllis of Anderson; daughter, Sheila Melvin and her husband Pete of Anderson; four grandchildren, Kevin Bolt, Kayla Ammons, Erica and Dakota Melvin; six great-grandchildren, Kayla, Isaac, Carson, Madysen, McKynna and Rayelan; brother, Joseph Bolt of Anderson.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Guy Bolt.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2009 at 4:00pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Mark Daniel and Mr. Perry Farrow.
