DAVISAUGUST 15, 1930 - JanUARY 21, 2009ANDERSON, SC ' Marion Marvin Davis, age 78, of 1041 Old Webb Road, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2009, at the AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in LaFrance, SC on August 15, 1930, he was a son of the late Marvin F. Davis and Sallie Mae Chapman Davis. He was a graduate of Pendleton High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Davis retired from the United States Postal Service and was a member of Central Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife, Oleen Brown Davis, of the home; children: Janet Davis LeCroy of Anderson, Randall Davis and wife, Susan R. Davis, of Anderson, and Michael R. Davis of Anderson; brother, Wallace Davis of Anderson; grandchildren: Stephanie Moran and husband, Kris Moran, of Spartanburg, Cassie LeCroy of Anderson, Ashley N. Davis of Anderson, and Jacob Davis of Anderson; two great grandchildren: Olivia Moran and Kane Moran, both of Spartanburg.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an infant son, James M. Davis; a sister, Mary Gladys Davis; and an infant sister, Lucille Davis.The Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 25, 2009, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Bruce W. Evans.
