Hyder, age 61 of 30 Edgemont Road, Grove Park Apts. No.15, Asheville, NC, died Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at his residence.Born in Anderson, SC on February 21, 1945, Mr. Hyder was a son of the late Arnold G. Hyder and Katherine Espey Hyder Boyd. He was a graduate of Boys' High School and attended Wake Forest University where he played football. He was employed as a salesman for Ference Cheese Company in Asheville, NC and volunteered for the Hospice of Asheville. Survivors include a daughter, Shanna Marie Salas of Simpsonville, SC; brothers, Arnold G. Hyder Jr., of Anderson, SC, Alex Hyder and Rev. James Hyder, both of Augusta, GA and George E. Hyder of Anderson, SC.
