PRUITT, SR.DECEMBER 10, 1922 - May 7, 2010ANDERSON, SC ' Marion Erskine Pruitt, Sr., age 87, of 2602 Calrossie Road, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2010, at the Rainey Hospice House.Born in Starr, SC, on December 10, 1922, he was a son of the late J. Albert Pruitt and Myrtie Mabel Pruitt Pruitt. He retired after forty-three years of service from the City of Anderson as the Department Head of Vehicle Maintenance. Mr. Pruitt was a member of the First Baptist Church of Anderson and the Baracca Sunday School Class. He was also a member of the Knights of Pythias.Survivors include his wife, Frances Adams Pruitt of the home; two sons: Marion E. Pruitt, Jr. and wife, Millie McCown Pruitt of Anderson, SC, and Phil Pruitt and wife, Patty Michalski Pruitt of Washington, DC; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by seven brothers and two sisters.A Private Family Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at New Silver Brook Cemetery conducted by Dr. James R.
