Marion Thomas Anderson Marion Eddy Thomas, age 84, widow of Gordon R. "Dick" Thomas, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at NHC of Anderson. Marion and Dick were married 62 years, having grown up together in Wallingford, VT. They moved to Anderson in 1966. Marion retired from BASF in 1990 after 24 years of service. She was a Board Certified Occupational Health Nurse and was their Health Care Administrator at the time of her employment. Marion received her registered nurses training at the Mary Hitchcock School of Nursing in Hanover, NH. She had belonged to the ABWA's Chapter in Anderson. Marion was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Anderson and also the Wesley Sunday School Class. She is survived by her son, Robert and his wife Barbara, of Dillon, SC; a daughter, Judi and husband Dale Kelley, of Flower Mound, TX; a sister, Nancy Eddy Cox (Paul), of Manchester, CT; and a brother, Thomas Eddy (Beverly), of Fredericksburg, VA. Also surviving are grandson, Dr. Kevin and wife Dr. Sandra Thomas, of Kennesaw, GA, grandson, Daniel Thomas, of Myrtle Beach, SC, granddaughter, Lindsey and Dr. David Budhoo, of Myrtle Beach, SC, granddaughter, Erin Kelley DVM, of McKinney, TX and grandson, Brent Kelley of The City of Irving, TX Police Department. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Mary Teasley officiating. The family will gather for a time of visitation following the service. The family will be at, 509 Concord Avenue, Anderson, SC 29621. It is requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Trinity United Methodist Church Capital Improvement Fund, 1809 North Main Street, Anderson, SC 29621.
