Marjorie Gault Halford, age 95, of Anderson, SC, passed away Monday, February 27, 2023, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born February 8, 1928, in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Rev. William F. Gault and Addie M. Colson Gault. She was married to the late Dr. James G. Halford, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Frances M. Gault and Mary Gault Bledsoe. Marjorie graduated from Greenwood High School, attended Lander College and received a nursing degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She retired from NHC Healthcare Anderson in 1987. She was a hospice volunteer and enjoyed traveling both domestic and abroad. She was a member of the Anderson Women's Club and St. John's United Methodist Church where she was very active in her church circle. Marjorie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends whom she loved dearly. She is survived by her children, Lynn Halford Weldin (Larry) of Anderson, SC, Mary Earle Halford Campbell of Johnston, SC, Betsy Halford (Mark Hilliard) of Columbia, SC, and James G. "Bova" Halford, III (Kelly) of Anderson, SC; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, March 3, 2023, from 10:00-10:45 am at St. John's United Methodist Church. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am with Rev. Wm. Kevin Cooley officiating. The committal service will be at 3:00 pm at Mount of Olive's Cemetery in Johnston, SC.
