Marlene Hurt Thomason, age 89, of Anderson, SC, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born October 15, 1932, in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Roy J. Hurt and Emma Tidwell Hurt. She was married to the late Hugh Thomason. Marlene was retired from J.P. Stevens and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Dennis Thomason of Anderson, Randy Thomason of Belton, and Jerry Thomason of Anderson; daughter, Faye Weldon of Anderson; brothers, James Hurt (Marlene) and Lee Hurt (Mary) both of Anderson; sisters, Peggy Eaves (Ed) and Lorraine Strickland both of Anderson; 11 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. There will be a private family service.
