Marshall Hubert Carithers Anderson, SC Marshall Hubert Carithers, age 79, of 404 McCullough Drive Anderson, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Anderson, he was the son of the late E.C. Carithers and the late Betsy Mobley Carithers. He proudly served his country, fighting during the Korean War. Marshall retired from BASF after 24 years of service. He was a member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church He is survived by his children, John Carithers and his special friend, Dennis Barker, of Simpsonville, SC and Diane Carithers, of Anderson, SC; a sister, Geraldine Powell, of Starr, SC; and a special niece, Mary Mize, of Anderson, SC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Brown Carithers. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2014, at Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Brent Lollis officiating.
