Marshall "Buddy" Carver Anderson, SC Marshall Odell "Buddy" Carver, age 77, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, SC on March 20, 1938, he was the son of the late Carlton Matthew Carver and the late Margie McCurry Carver. He was a retired carpenter. Buddy enjoyed his family, he loved to barbeque and cook stews. He was a member of Andersonville Baptist Church. He is survived by his four daughters, Jenny Burdette and her husband Dale, of Iva, SC, Gail Stevens and her husband Fred, of Belton, SC, Margie Pruitt and her husband George, of Anderson, SC and Lorrie Pike and her husband Jeff, of Anderson, SC; six grandchildren, Nathan Purdy Pruitt, Jenna Harris, Sterling Metz, Seth Pruitt, Kennedie Pike, and Grant Pike; seven great-grandchildren, Lily, Leia, Carver, Kylie, Colton, Rosie, and Wes; three brothers, Raymond, Butch, and Tommy Carver; and one sister, Rosa Lee Jenkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Pierce Carver and a sister, Mattie Lou Jenkins. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015, at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Bruce Evans officiating. Interment will follow at South Lawn Memorial Gardens.
