Mr. Marshall E. Harris, 82, of 404 Brookside Drive, Anderson, SC died on Friday, January 29, 2016 at his residence. He was the son of the late James Claude Harris and Eva Yeargin Harris born on May 22, 1933 in Anderson, SC. Mr. Harris was a U.S. Army Veteran who was Discharged Honorably after serving in the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass where he worked for 38 years. Mr. Harris graduated from Forrest College with an Associate's Degree in business. Mr. Harris is survived by his two children: Marshall B. Harris of Anderson and Carla H. Griffin and husband Rus of Fletcher, NC; five grandchildren: Matthew M. Harris, Jennifer H. Riggs, Rene' Canalis, Daniel Griffin and Andrew Griffin; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to this parents Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his wife: Betty Lewis Harris. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 2:00pm with the Dr. Charles Holland officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson, SC. The Harris family will receive friends from 12:30pm - 1:30pm on Monday, February 1, 2016 at the funeral home prior to the service.
