Marshall Glenn Whitfield, Sr., age 65, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018. Born January 31, 1953 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of Lorena Harris Whitfield and the late Eugene Whitfield. Marshall retired after 20 years of service from the United States Air Force. He attended Iva Church of God of Prophecy, loved to work on cars and enjoyed woodworking. In addition to his mother, left to cherish his memory is his wife, Maquata Shiflet Whitfield; sons, Marshall G. Whitfield, Jr. and James D. Whitfield; daughters, Angela G. Ambridge and Destiny Nicole Ambridge; sister, Jean Fowler and six grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4-6pm Monday, July 30, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be in the chapel at 2:00 pm Tuesday with Rev. Alan Rhodes and Rev. Stanley Campbell officiating. Burial will be in M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
