MARTHA ANN CARITHERS May 15, 1939 - November 5, 2012 ANDERSON, SC Martha Ann Carithers, age 73, of 404 McCullough Street, Anderson, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2012, at National Health Care. Born in Laurens, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Brown and the late Margie Brown. She was a seamstress at Bobbie Dan for many years. She was a member at Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Marshall Carithers of the home; a son, John Marshall Carithers of Irmo, SC; a daughter, Martha Dianne Carithers of the home; a brother, Jimmy Brown of Belton, SC; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Howell of Starr, SC; dear friends, Dennis Barker of Tryon, NC and Dorothy Clark, of Anderson, SC; special niece, Mary (Carl Ray) Mize of Anderson; and many other nieces and nephews. The Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Brent Lollis and Layman Harry Osborne officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the home and will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
