Martha Toney Ellison, age 67, of 445 Ellen Street, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born on October 12, 1948, in Pineville, NC, she was the daughter of the late Nellie "Toni" Griffin Toney Hunnicutt. Martha was a member of Crossover Community Church. Survivors include her husband, David Haynie Ellison of the residence; two sons, Derek and Brad West, both of Anderson; a daughter, Mandi Vaughn and her husband, Gary, of Anderson; two brothers, Don Toney and his wife, Arlene, and Bill Toney and his wife, Esther, both of Charlotte, NC; a sister, Janelle Travis of Charlotte; five grandchildren, Hannah, Haley and Cole West, Darren Vaughn, and Landon Garland; and a great-granddaughter, Kylie West. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Ellison was preceded in death by brothers David "Butch" Toney and Bob Toney; and a sister, Pat Spikes. A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Martha Ellison will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Silvey and Rev. Allen McConnell officiating.
