Martha Fay Greenway, age 88, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Summit Place Assisted Living in Anderson, SC. Born July 27, 1934, in Iva, SC, she was the daughter of the late Walter Magnus Metz and Mary Alberta Bowie Metz. Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Alton H. Greenway; children, Tony A. Greenway (Kris) of Anderson, SC, and Donna Fay Greenway (Burch Carr) of Beaufort, SC; as well as her six grandsons, Jack and Nick Greenway, CG and Hunter Oehmig, and Fuller and Penn Carr. She is also survived by sister Grace Lawton and brothers, Jimmy Metz and Russell Metz all of Iva, SC. She was preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters. She loved her grandsons, working in her gardens, and collecting her antiques. A private family burial will be held at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects and sign the Guest Register on Thursday, May 11, 2023, from 9:00 am until 4:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home.
