Rainey and the late George Jacobsen, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2009, at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.Born in Anderson County on December 4, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Frank Addison Todd and Bertha Viola Price. She retired from Clark-Schwebel Manufacturing and operated the family farm in Starr for many years. Mrs. Jacobson was a member of Ruhamah United Methodist Church.Survivors include her children: David T. Rainey of Starr, John T. Rainey and wife, Gina, of Piedmont, and Elaine R. Dean and husband, Clarence, of Mulhall, OK; grandchildren: David Timothy Rainey and wife, Sandra, Kathy R. Fields and husband, Randall, Tami R. Barnes and husband, Kevin, William Rainey, Marie Rhodes and husband, Phil, and Adam Dean; fourteen great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husbands, a daughter, Ina Joyce Rainey; a grandson, John Henry Rainey; and infant grandson Dean; and a great grandson, Braden Rainey, predeceased her.A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at Ruhamah United Methodist Church conducted by the Reverend Jeff Roper. The family suggests that memorials be made to Hospice of The Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC, 29621, or to Gideons International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214.
